The Really
Terrible Orchestra Of the Triangle (RTOOT)
Fall Concert Held in Chapel Hill; Good Time Had By
All
The Really
Terrible Orchestra Of the Triangle (RTOOT) presented its inaugural
concert for Wednesday, 10th December 2008 at 8:00 pm, in the
auditorium of Hill Hall (Music Building) on the campus of the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. A good time was had by
all -- the players, the singers, the audience, and most of all the
conductor!
Rave reviews followed, such as this one on cvnc.org --

Bill Curry
comments -- “A truly
GREAT debut! Great crowd! Could have been noisier though. So
many outstanding moments! Especially for
those lucky ones that were standing outside, waiting
for their performing friends to leave Hill Hall. (Nicely
renovated, by the way. And it seems to have survived your
efforts last night to convert it into a veritable
charnel house of Unmusical Horrors. Tutti bravi!) I really think
you have something here! MORE!”

An audience member was overheard during the post-concert reception
remarking that she “never knew the Blue Danube Waltz was quite so
lo-o-o-ong.”
